Leonard Bernstein’s kids, Jamie, Alexander, and Nina, were amazed to see Bradley Cooper play their father, the famous conductor and composer, in the movie Maestro. Jamie said some photos of Cooper as Bernstein were shockingly accurate. Nina shared a funny moment when she received a FaceTime call from Cooper, who looked exactly like her elderly father, making her laugh. The premiere of Maestro was held at David Geffen Hall, where Bernstein once performed. Cooper, also the director, subtly attended the premiere without addressing the audience, showing support for SAG-AFTRA. Carey Mulligan, who played Bernstein’s wife, was absent. Bernstein’s children generously provided Cooper with their father’s medicine case and allowed filming at their family house in Connecticut. In the movie, Cooper wore Bernstein’s real bathrobe, and Mulligan wore a dress that belonged to their mother.
